I would love to hear what you think of the newsletter so far. I’ve enjoyed writing them even though they haven’t been focussed on a particular subject. Let me know if there is something you would like me to write about next time.
Following on from the investment bits I was talking about in the last two newsletters I just wanted to talk about RR (Rolls-Royce) which is one of the stocks I bought due to its increasing search volume and the company’s fundamentals.
Spurred on by the recent news of a potential end to travel restrictions, RR is now up 11% at the time of writing this from the price I quoted last week.
I can confidently say this was one of the few green stocks I owned last week when the American stock market took a small plunge. Most unfortunately was the large drop of Chinese electric car manufacturer NIO, which was down a ton :(
NIO is another stock I am very bullish on but have sold about the majority of my shares due to me being a massive wimp when it comes to losing £1000’s in a day. Granted, I was still overall in the green by 60% ish when I sold.
If you read the first issue of this newsletter you may remember me mentioning my new product the ‘Networth, Passive Income and Investment return tracker’. As of this Friday anyone that has subscribed to this newsletter will be sent a link to get it for free. I would love if you could give it a go and give me some feedback on it.
If you have any questions regarding the product you can email me at: benjamin@toppocketmedia.com
Following on from the FBA and Ebay flipping I was talking about last week, my shipment is now being processed by Amazon…it’s taking ages.
My plan at the moment is to get rid of everything I’ve bought with the intention of flipping so I can start again with some better processes to keep track of it all.
iPod Refurb/mod. Another random project I am doing in my spare time is the refurbishment of an iPod Classic 5th Generation from 2006. Don’t ask me why, I just think they are really cool.
This was the first time I’ve ever disassembled an iPod and it went pretty well, I think. So far, I’ve replaced the messed up front housing, button and click wheel.
All that’s left to fix on the front now is the LCD. I have a replacement and a gold plated back housing coming in the first week of April. Just a short agonising wait…
A lot of people I have spoken to about this iPod restoration think I’m mad, but I just think they’re so cool; I bet you couldn’t name a more iconic device. Plus, they sound great and they are like a little time capsule. I have all my favourite songs (In beautiful lossless studio quality) I have all my favourite pictures of family and friends and I then have the greatest movie of all time (which I shouldn’t have to name but I’ll give you a hint: it starts with S and rhymes with hreck).
In other very random news on Wednesday last week I managed to toast the perfect bagel. This is a very proud moment and one I felt needed to be shared with the world.
